I think one of the big lessons that we learnt through the recent Brexit / Covid experience is that it is critical for the UK to regain its manufacturing base.
The farcical situation of having to source PPE for goodness knows where and the shortages faced by NHS staff, simply cannot be repeated...

The EU have been banging on for a need of vaccines even when they hadn’t approved them Now they want Holland to give them vaccines and they haven’t approved the factory yet. The Italian police ( prompted by someone from the Commission) raids a storage depot only find the vaccines are destined for the EU or foreign countries. Macron says the vaccine doesn’t work, then that it is not suitable for over 65’s! Now apparently it is not suitable for under 65’s. Merkel proposes to shut down Germany for Easter week because of rising figures and a day later U turns. What a shambles?

The Spanish have lifted the retrictions on entry from the UK. The excptions you mention are those that apply to leaving the UK, where there is still a ban on non essential travel.e

I have noticed in the last week a couple of planes in the area going into and out of Malaga. Not really seen any since October or November. So obviously there is some people coming and going again.

there are 20 or so flights per day, the weekend was bonkers - we delivered 15 cars to people coming to spain, where we have done maybe 3 a week for the past couple of months.
It was mainly other europeans - but there were a couple of english owned vehicles too.
We are seeing alot of flights to Istanbul, and morroco.
I´ve worked here at Malaga Airport for 20 years, and I´ve never seen it this quiet.
