I am a resident in Lanzarote, but not working and under retirement age. I understand that I am not covered for anything from the Spanish health system and today I found out that my private health policy doesn't cover me for Covid 19.
Now I'm understandably a bit concerned
Will I be left to rot ? Am I panicking too much ?
Thoughts appreciated

You would not be left to rot.... I'm sure the hospital/clinic or wherever will let you pay cash for any treatment ....

...... earlier posts back in 2017 said you were under retirement age, but had retired - hence you don't work in Spain. So you must have some funds to live on?????

All persons get emergency treatment free.

I had a skiing accident in France. I had insurance, but apparently the hospital had been conned before and that was not good enough. I could not understand much of what I was told, but I did understand I would not be permitted to leave without handing over my visa card.

A & E treatment is free to all. So if admitted as emergency that would be covered but after care I would think not as not emergency.
