Default Costs of buying a property.

It's been a while since I purchased in Spain but a friend is buying a new build off plan and has been quoted 4800€ by the gestor recommended by the developer. For this they will handle the purchase and sort out NIEs etc.... this does not however include the tax! Taking aside the independence of a gestor recommended by the developer I am after some opinions on this quote from someone with more up to date experience than myself. My initial reaction was, how much?!

Thanks just wanted to check I wasn't completely out of touch. Anyone any recent experience and willing to divulge how much this cost?

Sounds high to me but its easy to get some quotes to make a comparison, its the independent part that is very important, there's a host of pitfalls possible if care isn't taken!

Ditto. This is average and as we all know has to be independent.

He's going to use a gestor recommended by the developer. Just don't!

And I paid 1000.

I've just completed on my property and went with a lawyer who is based in Spain AND UK. I paid just under 2000 and they saw to every last detail for us, including Power of Attorney, Notary fees and couriering the keys to us on completion. Highly recommended.
