Costa Blanca Soth places to visit
HI,
We are over in a couple of weeks with kids and family to Guardamar area, anyone with any recommendations as to places to visit. we've done the usual beaches in the area, even down to the Mar Menor, Torrevieja, Cartagena, and North to Benidorm, Villajoyosa. looking for any little gems you may have found for a bit of culture, grab a coffee or meal and watch the world go by. anything for the kids would be a bonus to. Rio Safari in Elche was good so that will probably be on the cards again this year.
Thanks

The water park in Torre is worth a visit.
There is a nice bar way up in the Sierra Espuna national park near Alhama de Murcia. You may prefer an organised adventure.
Terra Mitica is a must for kids.
See the submarine in Torre harbour
Watch the hang gliders @ Santa Pola.
Visit the castle @ Guadalest.
Enjoy your vacation

Alicante, an underrated town with plenty to do and see including a castle that you get to by lift.

I went to the Volvo Ocean race museum this morning in Alicante, free to enter, interesting and stuff for kids to do. Would make part of a day in Alicante, there is also a huge schooner in the marina, which you can tour, 5€ which includes a drink.

Moroccan tea gardens
From the South
AP7 to junction 730 (crevillente/catral). Drive towards Crevillente on C904 for 5-6 kms until you come to a T-junction Crevillente-Albatera road. Turn left for approx 3.5 kms where you will see two petrol stations opposite each other.Turn right just before the petrol station on the right hand side. Drive up lane for approx. 1.5kms where you will see a white arrow on a small post. Turn right and drive over the dry river bed and continue following the white arrows. Some parts have 'privado' signs but ignore them as they all belong to the Tea gardens.Continue until the lane bears round to the left and park.
Don't forget your camera.
... July/Aug/Sept open 6.00pm every day.
Oct-June closed Mon and Tues. open 4.00pm other days.
