Anyone know a supermarket chain or elsewhere that sells cornbread, better known in Spain as Pastels de Maiz.
i am hoping to make some Venezuelan style arepas and that would be the simplest way.
At present I am in Valenciana.

If I've understood you correctly, you are looking for corn (maize) flour, which is commonly sold in Spain under the trade name of Maizena. Most food shops should have it.

As you say maize flour is commonly available, but cornbread, pastels de Maiz are not and that’s what I’m looking for.

To make arepas you need to buy the flour called HARINA PAN.. This can be found in carrefour or el corte ingles or many latin shops. Mercadona have their own brand.. Believe me, I have lived in Venezuela for many years.

Most cities and large towns (and even some smaller ones) will have a supermarket/deli selling goods from Latin America, Have a look on google or google maps for one in your nearest town. There's at least one shown in Valencia for example and if that's not close enough, there are Latino supermarkets online in Spain which you can buy from.
