Default Contact for international parcels/customs in Madrid

Hi all, I sent a parcel to Nerja whilst still living in China in June. It still has not arrived. I have tracked it via China Post and it seems it arrived in Madrid 11th July, sat there until the 26th September, when it cleared customs and was SENT BACK to China. I can find no other information.

I have my previous colleagues in China asking at that end (as it seems the box is now in Beijing), but am wondering if anyone has any idea who I might contact in Madrid to find out what went wrong?

Please don't tell me it's Correos as my experience with that organisation has, thus far, been abysmal (NEVER use the Renfe Door to Door/Puerta a puerta service - awful!)

Thanks!
