well, not all good news but at least they made it pass the magical line of atmosphere and space.

Im sure the money would have been better used to get some people out of poverty, let alone the carbon footprint of these things...
Why do people want to go to space?
Sort this rock out first before thinking of ruining another one....

Yes an achievement.... congratulations for sure.

What I find interesting is that it was in 1969 that humans passed all space barriers, landed and walked on the moon.... and got home safely, transcending any barriers and threat (e.g leaving the Earth, the moon, returning home to a fast moving planet spinning on its axis and around the sun.... And re-entry to home. etc etc.... Safely).

Since then there have been huge advances in technologies, e.g computer systems and control, communications, positioning technology, rocket materials and propulsion technology etc etc. Even more international activity these days (its not just a space race between USA -USSR).....

NASA even 'landed'... Pinpoint accuracy ...on a fast moving asteroid in the middle of nowhere! The Voyagers are so far out and somehow still sending information with such old technology. Space is full of satellites (and junk)... Weve 'been there'

So I would have thought getting a rocket into planetary orbit would have been relatively "easy" to do.

But it all adds to human knowledge, technology awareness etc.

Jon
