Confused by the fried egg sign?
Years ago I thought I would be responsible and buy a Spanish highway code book to explain to me the signs I didn't get - however, I was told they are only supplied to learner drivers.... In the meantime have a look at this if the fried egg sign confuses you

Thanks - just looked - No disponible
Now I feel more relaxed after many years driving here, so no problem. |

Re: Confused by the fried egg sign?
'Priorite a droit' is still very much in use in France yet many Brits who've lived and driven there for years fail to understand it's meaning.
TBH though I do struggle to think of anywhere I've seen the sign in my area of Spain. |
Re: Confused by the fried egg sign?
The upper Yellow Diamond indicates that you are on the priority highway.
The lower one in this example indicates that this priority highway veers to the right, so the other two junctions must give way in this case. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...6dc2fda4e9.png The lower sign indicates end of priority, so now you need to slow down a bit and pay attention. Depending on which country you are in you may need to give way to the right. Once again depending on the country, this situation is often accompanied by special markings on the road itself which indicate what's going on. |
