Computer whizz?? advice please
The three month free period of Norton has just expired on the laptop - Toshiba, Pentium dual core, running Vista Home Premium, ISP = BT.
Do I renew the norton subscription or download AVG or similar??
Any informed advice much appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance.

Personally I would lose Nortons at any cost, and replace it with anything else apart from Mcaffee. There have been numerous threads about it in the past, and something like AVG would probably be fine for you.

I agree Norton is not the best of anti viruses, not even close and it uses up much more memory/resources than the good ones..
As mentioned before NOD32 is probably one of the best, if not the Best...
AVG is pretty good and I remember they were giving away a year subscription recently, not sure if they still are tho.

I use Bit Defender and find that works well for me.
