Quite agree. Actually I've been finding it very pleasant.
The temperature may be way below zero but it's not what I would call severe weather with a high chill factor.
In my neck of the woods far from having blizzard conditions, there's hardly even been a breath of wind and apart from an occasional sprinkling of snow it's been mostly wall to wall blue sky and sunshine during daylight hours and very pleasant on a night with the moonlight reflecting on the snow.
Lovely weather for walking or hunting in the countryside and no hassle from attacks by squadrons of evil insects at this time of year either.
However for those who have need or feel the need to be on the streets and roads or waiting around at airports, tough luck.
Just hope I can catch a nice weather window of opportunity when I eventually feel like returning to Spain.

We have a cold north wind blowing and today is the first time it's stopped raining for two weeks, it's showing all the signs of being the same as last winter was here!

It's looking increasingly likely that the wind direction will change next week and bring westerly mild weather to the UK. Temperatures of 7C will feel like a heatwave to those areas curently struggling to get above -4 daytime. Just hope though that it doesn't cause heavy floods in Scotland when the snow melts...
It was a shock for me to see so many trucks at Heathrow (I work close to there) taking snow out. The snow wasn't deep at all, but I suppose the land area of the airport is so vast that it soon adds up. Good news for travellers is that flights are now getting back to near normal in the UK airports.

Doesn't sound very nice at all. Just heard there's been gale force winds in my area also. Last Winter I returned to find that part of the chimney had been blown down through the roof. However I have a good neighbour keeping an eye on the place, so I'll heed the advice and delay my return for a while longer.
Quite content in the cosy UK in the meantime.

Much the same here, and like you, I like this weather! It's been the same here, blue skies and today is no different, and I'll be out soon walking as I have every day. Yes, certainly a lot have suffered, but we've been lucky and been saved from the worst of the weather. My son got from Cardiff to Heathrow last week, had a week in the sun, came back last night, no incidents, no real problems, not everyone has been badly affected. And the best is, no matter how cold it might be outside, indoors we are warm as toast. Sympathy for those badly affected, especially those that have had their Christmas getaway ruined, that must be awful.
Just going out with the mut, see if we can catch a rabbi or two.
He absolutely loves it,...six times more active than he'd be in Spain.

So far we are having a temperate winter with a lot less rain than last year, but that can all change.
Yesterday the sun was shining, and I was puttering around the garden when a Red Admiral flew by. Tell me when you see the first butterflies flying round the garden in the UK!

Sorry to hear about the chimney. Cosy UK? Not according to the reports we see!

Bees and wasps still around so that has to be a sign also of the mild weather.
Huge bit of pork cooking at the mo and all is lovely and christmassy without the minus temps.

we pulled all the pine cones off the fallen trees to save for when they've dried a bit. Not so good for our brand new gazebo though, which 'bought it' a couple of weeks ago, along with most of the neighbour's gazebos and toldos ( patio covers). The local driving school had an empty container from their 'trucking school' blown right through one poor soul's fence. But people are out in glorious sunshine today which is much better than predicted. Though I predicted it last night when there was a 'red sky'.... Forgot to put the fleece on the orange trees. This morning there was a frost covering everything. But we're at 700m.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. Me I wouldn't want to have to endure it any longer. My bones are getting older and they ache in the cold. I can't wait for the temps to rise in the spring with another hot summer to look forward to.

I'd be there myself, if only my knees weren't quite so wobbly.
Variety is the spice in all seasons of the year.
Yes,I was already ahead of you jdr. I thought bil might have beat you to that one though.
