Climate Change

Has anyone else wondered why "Global Warming" has suddenly become "Climate Change".

Thought I would look into it and the first site I found was this:-

Makes interesting reading.

There has always been at least a small element of doubt about the present "Global Warming" theory and when it has happened in the past, for whatever reason, it has at sometime been followed by "Global Cooling".

I imagine the term "Climate Change" covers both possibilities, unliike Global Warming on its own.

Thought Spain was actually part of the Globe and would in it's turn be affected. But thank you for replying,:D

I think the theory is that when the cycle usually changes to cooling ...... this time it won't, it'll just get warmer

If that is true then it's time to cull the animal causing the problem.

It was a gentle, roundabout way of asking why it was in the Spain forum, rather than Siesta Time

It has just been stated on the ITV news that airfares will rise dramatically to make people think before flying. (????????)
Of course the passenger will have to pay, but I can see a lot of people getting a lot richer on the back of this "awareness" tax.

How can you be so sure?
There are several other possible variable factors, at present way beyond the control of the human race, both on and beyond our planet, that could cause the earth to cool again.
Its happened before.

Re: Climate Change

Must admit my first thought when I noticed the change was that it was the Politicos hedging their bets, to keep the money flowing in, as initially all they were interested in was Global Warming.

There was, allegedly, a lot of double dealing at the UN level, and some scientists found themselves roped into the Pro camp when they actually opposed the warming comments or were still on the fence.

In my opinion the jury is still out, not that I believe we should be doing nothing, but that we may be going overboard and taking a scatter gun approach that we may have to undo in the future.

I think because too many people think global warming and imagine blue skies and warm sunshine. They overlook the fact that global warming could mean more cloud, more rain and more storms, depending where on the globe you are.

I didnt say I was sure...... I said it was a theory ... it was put forward by scientists on a prog about global warmimg. Warming / cooling goes in cycles and has done through time .... this time though its getting warmer for longer, at least thats what they said

Re: Climate Change

Apparently since the beginning of time, the earth has undergone over 500 ice ages, therefore it has to have warmed up after each one... er would that be global warming?? and was it caused by us humans not turning our stand by buttons off??????!

But hey, this "global warming" mullarky has been such a great money spinner tho!! Too much so to dare question it!!!!:rofl:
