I´ll be out of here for a couple of weeks now. After 6 months of working 6 day weeks whilst building my business, Christmas comes as a very welcome break! This year has been entertaining on here, getting to know some of you ... J2, hell awaits but hopefully not too soon, joking apart, I love your posts, Steviedelux, enjoy your break from your research, your business and your every so calculated brain, Crookesey, enjoy my friend, careful of our brown brothers, Christmas is for love, not fighting which brings me nicely to Rugbymat :), enjoy my fellow blog warrior, Agoire (spelling but no ref to correct on this page), keep the faith, and LynnR, you´re gorgeous, very level poster when the rest of us are getting over excited, and EMR...mighty strength in standing, often alone, akin to getting stoned I guess, but for what it´s worth, I respect that of you, and I´m sorry for the others I haven´t mentioned. What ever your faith or tradition, I sincerely wish you all good times and I hope the new year brings everything you could ever wish for and more. Look at Crookesey, he´s already drinking and running up the stairs, I just hope he doesn´t fall back down them and be back where he started! Who ever said 13 was unlucky, bring on 2014 and I look forward to the banter. From me, goodnight and I´ll see ya´ll next year :) hohoho :D Enjoy your break and hope you and yours have a lovely time. We like a quiet Christmas (I'm already fed up of Xmas tv and Christmas hasn't even really started yet). We've turned down a couple of invitations for today, the most recent being this morning when the Spanish artist who has a studio nearby asked us to her house tonight (she's cooking for 17:eek: and has her sister who lives in Banbury and her nephew who lives in Winchester visiting). I think she felt sorry for us as the Spanish must find it inconceivable that people should be on their own without family for Noche Buena! We'll cook some nice food, have got a few good (well a bit more expensive than usual anyway) bottles in, close the door and keep the world out. Rain is forecast for tomorrow but I don't need to go anywhere so I don't mind. There are some social things planned between now and New Year's Eve though, so we're saving ourselves for then, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. |

If you like it lively at Christmas then Benidorm is the place to be!
My OH & I have spent many Xmas and new year celebrating with loads of expats and winter holiday makers in and around the town. Very lively during and into the night & can be as busy in the daytime as in the summer. All depends what you want!:drinkingbeer: |

About 20 different choices in the meats menus alone, one of the family being a butcher. |

How come we still remember all the words after 50 years or more? I'm hoping for Right Said Fred (the Bernard Cribbins one that is), I love that one. |

Hope you had a good time, I'm sure you did - would have been my vegetarian OH's idea of hell though!

L.D.was always a great favourite of mine, still is to a certain extent as I recently bought his complete collection on CD. This is a great version of one of my favourites, "Putting on the Style". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW9KUeMaJRQ |

[QUOTE=andyrich666;11051124]In the end I thought sod it and I went to Benidorm, but was not busy at all, It did get busier late on, I got home at about 5am , My Neighbours were standing outside, saw me so bollocks'd so embarrassing, it ruined today though :(
Glad you enjoyed it though Andy! 5am.......not a bad night then eh? When we did Beny at Christmas years back we had to 'dry out' for all of Jan:p but still went back for more the next year. Happy new year:thumbup: |
