Default Christmas Day in Ciudad Qesada- recommendations appreciated

Hi all

Was last here in August before we came out property viewing and we plumped for a terraced house in Dona Pepa, Quesada, and we couldn't be happier!

We complete on Monday and plan to be out for Christmas.

Having "Christmassed" in Spain previously we do know it's not the same as at home- not a bad thing the shops are already crazy back here- but we would like to "celebrate" Christmas Day as it will be our first one as property owners in Spain.

It may be too late even now to book, but can anyone recommend somewhere for a convivial Christmas Lunch in Quesada, preferably walkable coz the sherry generally takes a beating on Christmas Day!

If not don't have too many issues with a Lidl chicken and our first Christmas at our new home, but some fun company and being waited on would be a bonus.

We were thinking Mullberries, Oscars, La Vida Sunset bar, Bar Esquina or Patagonia Steak house (I can eat steak any time!) but can't seem to find anything on line as to whether they do a Christmas Day opening.

Anyone know if any of them do, or any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hi,
Ciudad Quesada is a large urbanisation served by many restaurants. Most will serve you a decent Christmas lunch. If you need to walk, then where are you located?
How much do you want to spend?
I would not recommend Patagonia Steak House to my worst enemy.

Thanks missile

We are really quite familiar with the area and we liked Patagonia restaurant when we visited in September. Must have caught them on a good night!

We are in Dona Pepa about 2 mins walk from Coopers.

Happy to walk into the centre ar down to Laguna hotel area.

Do you know which are likely to be open, which are doing traditional Christmas dinner (lunch if your from dahn sarth) and whether we need to book.

Can find nothing on line and not wishing to skimp on budget but won't be ripped off either.

Thanks for your help

La Laguna will definitely be open and have no hesitation in recommending there. I would suggest you book, phone number is on their website.
A little further away is the Budapest restaurant.
Atica Italiana is quite good too.
La Marquesa Golf Club restaurant is very reasonably priced and open to non-members
If you want real English fare then you might want to try Laurel & Hardy's or JCs
