For the Costa Luz area I would say it was pretty good (to be honest not a patch on what you would find in the UK or US) albeit a little pricey for the area.
Would certainly recommend a visit

Nah, thats called burglary.
Here in Mijas Costa we have a couple of decent ones, one of which Choombo has mentioned. The other one is called Feng Shui and is on Calahonda strip, its excellent and hasn't suffered the malaise that many places do after they spend the first 6 or so months cooking excellent food, they suddenly go bland.

And someone alse I know threw up for 10 hours after eating there.
They must of eat a lot there to chuck up for 10 hours

The food is excellent (I strongly recommend Lentil soup to start sounds crazy but its the best darned soup I ever had!)
Even better the restaurant is nicely laid out and the owner is really nice - recommends dishes if needed, talks politics with my FIL, and disappears when the food arrives perfect.

I had to remind him a couple of times that we were the customers and that this was Spain and not England - although casting around that particular area of Cabo Roig one could be pardoned for thinking otherwise; boy has that changed over the last ten years!
The situation might have also been redeemed had the food been good, once it arrived, but I found the starters tasteless and overcooked and the main courses were not particularly notable - although significantly better than the starters.
In contrast, the same party, enjoyed a fabulous meal, with great service, in the Indian in the centre of Torrevieja (Spice Hut, if I recall the name correctly). The only negative here was that you need to ask for extra super hot, just to get something that will bring out a mild sweat However, the food there was delicious, nonetheless.
