Hey Keith, look at this! Mmm yum yum isn't it! Did you enjoy your ham and cheese bocadillo tonight?

The best meal I ever had was at a festival in London when we bought jerk chicken off a stall on paper plates and ate it sitting on the grass. Fantastic, never been able to replicate it.

Hi KeithWalters

Much as I love it here - and I am quite near to you - the food here has been the biggest disappointment of my life. I am basically a Vegetarian so it is virtually impossible to go out to eat anywhere. The fish is all fried and where are the vegetables? Maybe I am just not going to the right places. As for Curry, I managed to get lots of spices at the market in Rota and made my own on Saturday night. Also the Hipercor in Jerez has lime pickle, mango chutney and poppadums AND some sushi making stuff too. There is one Chinese near us which is acceptable, but an Indian restaurant or two would definitely not go amiss.

Sorry to go off topic but please could you tell me what Rota is like. I am thinking of going for the weekend soon as I have hard lots about it. Evening entertainment? I know there is a military base there so I guess there should be some life.

Did you mention Cabo Roig? Is that near Torrevieja?
I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm trying to find the correct address and location for Krazy Chris's Bar & Diner.
He's a TKO FM DJ and owns a bar around Torrevieja & he arranged for my band to gig there in July, but the address he's given doesn't show up in any maps on the internet (I don't have any paper one's of Spain).
I have:
Calle de las Isla Formenterra la Regia
03189, Cabo roig, Torrevieja, Alicanti

Can anyone here help me?

Cheers

Mike

I believe it is here, courtesy of Via Michelin. Zoom in to see. It is certainly urbanizacion La Regía, Cabo Roig, so it has to be very close to there. Looks like they may have renamed the road.

Renamed?,no wonder I couldn't find the road name on google, mapquest, multimap or even my Sat nav (Co-pilot).
Thanks.

I was planning in advance because I have to drive down from Moraira (north costa blanca) and my nav skills are not good.

So if anyone fancies a night of live music from a UK band we're at Krazy Chris's (if we find it ;-) ) on 20th July and Santa Pola Lounge on 25th July, and in between then we're playing in Don Quijote Bar, Paiche Centre, Moraira on 22nd and 23rd July. We are a 6 piece band from Kent performing a mixture of rock, soul, funk and pop covers.

It's just a gigging holiday and I'm still working on the emigration..
