Change to rules about meeting travellers at Spanish airports

Hi all.

If anyone has visitors or family arriving after the 15th October, you may be happy to know you will be able to collect them inside the terminal buildings.

This is the confirmation.

and in English.

The Council of Ministers approved yesterday to remove the limitation of access to the terminals of the national airports. This measure will take effect on October 15.
This decision is recommended by the Ministers of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and Health and pursues the objective of contributing to the recovery of economic activity and the gradual return to normality. In other European countries, passengers' companions are already allowed access to airport terminals.
Once inside the facilities, passengers and companions must maintain the sanitary measures established since the beginning of the pandemic: use of mandatory mask, safety distance, use of disinfectant, etc.
The airport authorities could again limit entry to the facilities if times of great influx are anticipated to avoid crowds.
