Morocco ‘planning 2015 diplomatic offensive to recover Ceuta and Melilla’

Morocco may be about to launch an international United Nations focused campaign to recover ‘the colonies’ of Ceuta and Melilla from Spain, according to one Spain’s widest read serious news media El Confidencial Digital.

In a week that has seen Morocco’s new Ambassador to Spain, Mohamed Fadel Benyaich, hand his credentials to King Juan Carlos the publication has raised alarm bells that 2015 will feedback to 1975 and mark the 5oth anniversary of the Maghreb’s bid before the UN Committee of 24 for recovery of what Spain claims is integrated national territory.
