Default Ceiling fans installation Estepona

CELLING FANS INSTALLATION

Hi , I would like to install ceiling fans in 3 bedrooms and a living room in Estepona. There is no current ceiling lighting or wiring. Does anyone know someone to do this work and provide the quote which includes unit, cables installation?

Simple quiet and good quality celling fan without lighting.

Thank you

El Corte Ingles , Porto Banus always a good place to start. Probably pay a bit over the odds, although August sales are on, but they offer a good quality service with all the products they sell. You can check their catalogue online before actually going to the store to see if they have what you want.

Mention to El Corte ingles about the lack of any wiring as it may be an issue, unless the fan has its own power supply? Who ever you get to fit it will need to fix it securely or otherwise you may get liquidised

I have a neighbour who has run the cables through surface trunking - the small square plastic trunking you can get in Leroy Merlins. Obviously not as good as concealed wiring but it looks quite neat and does the job. If you want concealed wiring then it will probably mean a good deal of mess and replastering.
As mentioned, it is important to get the fans fixed into the concrete of the ceiling and not just the plaster as Spanish plaster tends to be more friable than we are used to and will fail with the vibration of the fan.

Fortunately, the three rooms I fitted ceiling fans had been supplied with cables dangling from the centre (new house). Fitted them myself, quite a job really because of their weight but I did it. Don't know if I could do it now, but I'd try!
The fitting is made made much more problematic by the absence of power at the required points in the centre. I don't like centre lights, so in the passageway, bathroom and kitchen I fitted recessed spots. What a job, cutting out the required holes in the concrete ceiling especially with "hidden" concrete beams behind also!!
Back to the topic, I agree with the previous suggestion, trunking across to the centre. The alternative is to channel out across the ceiling to the centre and sink the wiring into the channel and re-plaster. Very messy job, but if you want the neatest solution then that will be it.
I'm somewhat surprised there is no power to the centre of the ceiling. That's the norm.
