Default Car Leasing v Buying Outright

Does anyone have experience of / knowledge of leasing cars in Spain. We are Resident and I have a Spanish Licence but we are retired with pensions rather than employees? Any pointers, guidance, advice, experience would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have friends who do it and I looked at it and thought it was a good deal but as I have a five-year-old car I decided to hang on but I think it is the future.

After you net down the monthly payments with the savings on insurance depreciation etc very tempting and a new car every 3 years (for example)

I have done PCP with a discount, then purchased within cooling off period :-)
With the way inflation is looming ever larger a fixed price lease looks ever more appealing.
One disadvantage is you are tied to a (3 year) fixed period, if you decide to change before or after there is a financial penalty.

Im not directly familiar with the Spanish market but personal leasing is becoming ever more popular in many markets particularly if you are flexible on colour and options that dealers/manufacturers want to clear. Even in the current climate of parts shortages new cars are being pumped out with various options missing at bargain prices, certainly the case in UK and Middle East. If you are picky and want to do a precise factory order the lead times are horrendous.
