I’m not sure that this is the definitive answer, but as far as your green card lasts, isn’t it six months?

You are better off asking your insurance provider the question - there are too many variations to possibly get the right and proper answer for your particular circumstances

I am fairly sure that ALL spanish insurers give unlimited travel throughout EU, but as suggested ask your own insurer.

Mine (Linea Directa) certainly does.

All car insurance issued within the EU must, under EU Regulations, offer minimum cover throughout the EU for the duration of the policy.

Correct - it's the "comprehensive" cover that is limited at the whim of the insurance company.

UK policies seem to be very restrictive with this - Saga being a notable exception.

Spanish companies don't seem to have the same problems - perhaps they truly believe that movement within the EU is everyone's right - unlike the UK who seem to think that all you are allowed is a two week holiday on the "Continont"!

The devil is in the detail.

Agreed all have to offer minimum cover under EU Law.

Does this mean YOU are covered;)

If you breach their terms and conditions.......NO.
