Car Insurance

Anyone have a rough idea how much to insure a car in Spain. I realise that it is the car and not the driver who is insured but does years of claim free motoring count. I will be looking to buy a mid range diesel 1.9 or 2.0 litre car.

2.2 ltr 4 X 4 Frontera cost me 400€ fully comp, any driver over 30, inc breakdown cover.
They will honour your no claims with proof from your old insurer.

I have a turbo diesel escort and pay around the same. for full cover inc breakdowns with full no claims. I arranged mine direct with the insurers.
You may get it cheaper by using a "Corredor de Seguros," similar to what we would call insurance brokers.
They would check through the insurance companies for you to get the best deal.

Thanks for the information folks, that's around about what I pay for my car in the U.K. - £310 fully comp for a 5 series BMW.
