looking for car hire for 1 day from Alicante next month, can anyone recommend a company where you can collect full and bring back full.....or do all companies charge around 80€ regardless of how much you use now ????

i thought that if the hire was for less than three days the full tank of petrol thing didn't apply. i.e. full tank out full tank in. maybe it's changed.

Yes most do full/full on three days or less; or the equivalent of.

I did a 3 day hire with Goldcar a month ago. They charged me for a full tank and said they would refund the amount in the tank on return. I only used a 1/4 and they refunded 3/4. Still not as cheap as full/full as you are still paying their rates as opposed to market rates, but better than paying for a full tank on arrival.
