Car Finance?...

Hi
can anyone advise me about vehicle finance/bank loans? We live in Benalmadena and I have a steady job,got my NIE,have my residency permit,Spanish bank account etc,and I would like to trade my UK car for a half decent Spanish one,but to do this I would like to get finance or a bank loan, can anyone tell me if this is easy to do?,incidently we have been here for six months....

Looks to me that you have everything you need to be able to apply for finance/loan so either get down the dealer and see if they have any decent finance deals or talk to the loans adviser/manager at your local bank.

One word for warning tho many companies in Spain won't take a RHD car in part exchange, so it might be worth trying to sell it to a returning expat.

Just a further note:

If you're buying new from a Franchise dealer then I would look to see their own finance rates as the industry is quite slow thanks to the credit crunch/recession talk so some franchise dealers are offering 0% (terms and conditions apply of course)

Then if that wasn't the case I would then goto the bank as they will be cheaper than third party finance that's for sure.

This company take UK plated cars http://www.manilvaautos.com/ and advertise everyday on global FM. I personally lease a car from a place where you live for 400 euros a month all in insurance and servicing etc. Can change it whenever i want and is that price all year round.

Just pointing out they take UK plated cars. Don't take no notice of there prices though they seem to advertise some good deals on the radio.

I had no problem getting a loan from my bank, I just needed to produce a current contract, as I was working for some one else at the time.

I am using Ford options...where I pay an amount each month on my new car.
At the end of a 3 year period...I pay the amount left owing...or I have a nother brand new car...and they will give me the full book value from this one.
I believe most Ford dealers do this option.
