Very sad news for the people of Libya. I just hope this is a relatively isolated incident that doesn't get repeated, but I fear worse to come.

this is mostly religious differences, but also "freedom" movements mixed in.
the whole area is like a jumble of tectonic plates, all moving in different directions, and really has no true boundaries.

The civil war and thousands of deaths widely forecast by the media and some on BE also, fortunately have so far failed to materialise.
