Re: car advice
Theres normally just a pipe runs from exhaust manifold to drive the turbo so how they can say otherwise is rubbish .
so dont be fobbed of take it further and sue the buggers

In the UK you'd stuff them under the sales of goods act as not fit for purpose, but here I'm not sure

Re: car advice
Technically, and being a bit pedantic, the turbocharger sits between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust system, therefore could be deemed as being part of the exhaust. You need to check the wording of the warranty and see if the turbo is covered specifically.
How old is the car and what is it?

Re: car advice
Maybe, but it all depends on the age and mileage of the car. If it's 5 months old, then I would agree that it is out of order, if the car is 5 years old with loads of kilometres under its' belt, then a turbo could be thought of as a long term consumable like a clutch. The warranty needs to be checked thoroughly. Also depends on the reputation of the dealer. In the U.K. I would agree with you and argue to the hilt, but here, as we know, things are different.

When I took it back under warrenty they said it wasn`t covered cos water had caused it not the valves that they had fitted......
I said, did you not remove the head to get them in then ?
Yes, but only the valves are under warrenty.

Frankly experience tells me from my car website that there are so many stipulations and get out clauses on these warrantees that its hardly worth the money you pay for them in the UK

Turbo's are always considered to be a separate entity to the engine.
