Hi

As a keen angler who has done a little fly fishing in England , wondered if there is any nice flowing Trout waters in Spain, or should i sell the fly fishing tackle and put the money towards a Teach yourself Spanish CD course instead ?

On the way to Granada we stopped in somewhere called Aguadulce or Agua Dulce (that being the name of the river around there). Trout seems to be the local delicacy there as half the menu was dedicated to it. Delicious!!

Loads in Spain,

Extramadura, Granada,Galicia, Asturias,Rioja,etc,etc

I live in Galicia in a 17th Century WATERMILL on a river which is fished for it's brown trout, sea trout & salmon and is regularly electrofished by the Xunta de Galicia to check the fish stocks

We also have wild boar shooting & roe deer shooting

Hi M8,

Glad to get on to something sensible and fun, I have only seen on biggish lake on Mallorca and I don't think it has trout but at the altitude it is at it would be good for them as it's pretty cool.

Sorry not to be more helpful, but there are lots of places in Spain as my previous post, pm me and I'll e-mail you details.

Loads up my way, I like shootinng and in Mallorca they have some of the best Partridge shooting in the whole of Spain.

Best

Hiya - a place called Rio Frio on the way to Granada has trout farms and restaurants but no idea if you can fish for them. KNowing the spanish I reckon you would be able to and buy what you catch (if you wanted to!)
