Can we afford this ?

Britain's foreign aid bill is up by 30 per cent in five years - a bigger rise than any other EU country - UKIP

The Worlds second largest aid donor !

For instance,
We're still pouring money into India who can even afford their own Space Programme.

I think you will find that aid to India has been reduced and will end this year. Also that aid as a % of GDP has not risen and may even have fallen in recent years. In the 2015 budget now law it wa 0.7% a figure agreed by the UK in 1970.
But as you quoted UKip why should anyone be surprised at the errors.
I wonder where a pro UKIP post will turn up next ?

Do you people not recognize what a bribe is? This is a sweetener, it oils the wheels of international commerce, it promotes good will, it gives us "face"! We feel "holy" because of it, we can hold our heads high on the international stage. It is a lever to use to good effect. Sadly, it is probably not enough money now though. On that basis only it may be time to stop and accept that the UK is no more a major player.
