I disagree, this very much depends on the area and size of the town. Many health centres like mine are only open in the morning. Outside of their opening hours people have to use the nearest hospital.

Dear all, thank you for all of your suggestions. I am sure we will be able to sort something out. We have a direct line to the hospital and they have indicated that they would be able to dispatch an ambulance since my father is a known patient. Thanks again. Jim
