cake decorating in Spain!
 

:cake:does anyone know how they decorate cakes out there? birthday cakes and suchlike? I'm just going through all my books and have loads about cake decorating and wondered what they use? sugarpaste or royal icing or soft icing like the Americans?:cake:

come on!! someone must have had a birthday since they've been in Spain!
I know it sounds boring but its something else I've done in the past to earn pennies, and wondered what type of thing is usually used in Spain.

Icing sugar on sale in many of the supermarkets round here. They also have ready iced cakes in many of them, not sure exactly what they are made from, have never bought one.

I just do butter icing, but the supermarkets do lovely cakes, for birthdays etc., and they cost between 5-9€ and the 9€ is very big, they are lovely and very good value for money.
