Good man. Which route are you taking, perhaps we can compare notes.

I am going from Newcastle to Portsmouth, Ferry to Santander then hoping to get just south of Madrid overnight Stay then onwards to Sayalonga. Just over 300 mile per day if the joints hold out lol

I would suggest the ferry to Amsterdam is a better route. There are several options riding through France on route normal or via Andorra.

Yes I thought about that one Missile an the route would be more interesting but as I'm riding solo decided to go the more direct route. Looking forward to it anyway always said I would do it. Probably been better comfort wise on my last bike a Tiger but should be ok.

Hey guys, with respect- bobd22 and missile you have hijacked my thread!.
You can PM each other.

I keep getting emails telling me I have inputs to my "Buying a Car in Spain" thread only to find you are chatting about a biker road trip.

Regards

For anyone interested see dgt.es, tramites y multas, tu coche, cambio de titularidad,

Here in Alicante my friend, a non resident car buyer just had to show her passport and NIE. We did all the paperwork about a month ago, no problem. But the NIE was a must have, the original - not a photocopy.
Your daughter could put the car in her name, a gestor would do all the paperwork as long as she signs an authorisation form.
So, check with trafico but you will need to get an NIE number - a gestor can do this for you.
Or, go to a gestor and ask them to do it.
Or anyone who speaks Spanish can do it for you, as long as you can trust them 100%.

Thanks this is helpful
