Does the butchers have all the cuts available or only a limited amount.

Im looking for a really good piece of gammon ham for xmas and maybe other bits of hard to find meat if they have them.

Or is there a butcher around somewhere else north costa blancaish that may do.Only came up with one in my search.

Surprised I want ham after all the jamon and pork but it is different....and it is for xmas, and weve got to treat ourselves havent we.

There is/was a good English butcher in Oliva indoor market by the name of Matthews. Not been there for 3 years so do not know if they are still there.

I don't know about your area but Iceland in Fuengirola does have the gammon joints, and especially large ones at Christmas.
I buy them all year round, and as they are vac-packed they will keep in the fridge for a very long time!

They also sell ham shanks....perfect for pea and ham soup!

if you're specifically looking for an English cut of meat as opposed they way the Spanish cut it than try The Butcher's Block in Jávea - we use him now & then for that reason - had some wonderful beef from him & some pork with enough fat left on it for crackling

he's not cheap - but great quality
