Default Broken glass in Community Swimming Pool

Our community swimming pool has some broken glass in the bottom.
The Administrator tells us that it needs to be drained and refilled at huge expense to avoid liability issues.
I cannot believe there is another way to get the glass out - scuba diver perhaps or some clever suction device?
Has anyone any suggestions or had experience of this?
thanks

Thats why we never ever ever allow glassware near to the swimming pool.

Possibly, but would you be happy to accept liability for any missed scraps? If I were the administrator, I wouldn't want that potential hanging over me.

Don't forget, glass is almost invisible in water.

Only because it's the same colour as it. Maybe if the water was dyed blue the glass would stand out more and someone could go in with a snorkel and heavy brush and pan. (Heavy so they don't float back up).

Glass being completely transparent, and therefore the dyed water showing through, wouldn't it remain equally as difficult to spot ?
Any very small shards overlooked being a potential 'time-bomb'.

Cheers

Does anyone know how the glass got in there BlueChip? If so, and there is something in the rules to say glass is not allowed in the pool area, possibly some recompense can be sought from the offenders?

You could wait until the water turns red - where there is a red bit there is your glass. When the water stops turning red all the glass is gone.

Hi

Your administrator has no options; there is only one way to satisfy the law courts that you have done everything to remove hazards. Yes empty it. If you could save the water it may be possible to save money - but do you have a spare container the size of a swimming pool?

Bite the bullet and make sure it doesn't happen again
