Default British company making money from Spanish resort

http://www.02b.com/en/notices/2013/0...shirt_5622.php

A much-desired urban revamp of Magaluf is still a long way ahead. An online clothing website based in the UK has launched what is likely to be a contentious item: a t-shirt sporting the catchphrase 'Magaluf: On it till we vomit'.
The same company, which advertises sales on the Internet, has on its portfolio two more tees inspired by the Majorcan seaside town, on the Spanish Balearic Islands. 'Magaluf 2013: Go strong or Go home' and 'I'm in Maga Bitch', say the garments. HolidayHen presents itself as a brand specialized in hen parties abroad and clothing items specially tailored for group holidays.
You have to admire their business nous. We hear from the doomsters that you can't make money out of Spain, but where better than out of loaded holiday-makers?

Well exactly. I may not like their message, but surely it's good to see the Brit entrepreneurial spirit alive and well? Please don't tell me you hate ALL positive news!
Here's another Brit (and Irish) combo who also make money from tee-shirts connected with Spain, but in their case they operate from Madrid.

I don't think he's going to tell us anytime soon. To be fair to him I wouldn't either.

One of the great things about Mallorca is that there is something to suit all tastes. Magaluf is one of those (and thankfully only one - except perhaps Arenal which is far more pitiful and scheduled to be rebuilt as a posh resort anyway).

But to use Magaluf as an example of how some are making money in Spain is arguably technically correct, it does so only with the participation of loads of Brits spending lots of sterling, and the bulk of the money goes elsewhere anyway.

Surely a great chunk of the money must stay local, airport fees, local wages, local food/drink suppliers, local launderers etc. It would be interesting to see how a £300 holiday to Magaluf actually gets apportioned.

Didn't think it was the Brits or the Spanish making the real money out of Maga, thought that was kind of well known

That's a bit loaded, AFAIK there is no such thing as a £300 holiday to Magaluf.
No doubt there is some money that stays in the local economy.
But the resorts here are rarely locally owned, and neither are any profits.

You are joking right! Do you mean £300 is too much or unachievable?

Even the cheapest of the cheap rooms will cost you £300 per week, add to that flights, food, drink, and whatever else you waste...
