Wow! What a lovely surprise it was to come home and find all these fab messages from you lovely lot :wub:

Yes, it's definitely MY (Sam) birthday.............I'm 21 today (twice over!)

My best pressie was that O/H returned at midnight last night, from a 3 week trip to the UK; so this morning was an extra lazy affair ;)

We went out for a wonderful meal at 2.30.........and got home at 9.30!!
The phone hasn't stopped ringing ever since!
I had a little too much wine to drink at lunchtime, so had to have a little lie down on a park bench in the shade :o
Then we played at being tourists, and wandered around Trujillo taking in all the sights that we normally just take for granted.
I spent some birthday money, preparing for a trip to the Gredos mountains this coming weekend........a knee support (age is catching up!) some ear plugs (20 of us sleeping in one room in a youth hostel!) and a really unflattering waterproof hat, just in case the mountain weather is very different to the wonderful temperatures we're currently basking in!
I'm a girl who knows how to have a good time, you know!

O/H has been an absolute gem all day; making me cups of tea, waiting on me and generally just being gorgeous.
However, he says he's only doing that for one day a year, so I've now to got make the most of the next 20 minutes :lol:

Hi Sam,wonderfull to hear that you have had such a super day and your O/H is back with you..........has he missed all this awfull weather we have had here.Its all very big news here and very horrendous for hundreds of people.:eek:

There was a fair bit of rain in the South West during his stay, but he managed to help his brother do a lot of the jobs on his list - even if they had to pop in and out between downpours sometimes!

However, they weren't affected to the extent that the poor souls in Yorkshire have been :(
Have just been reading through some of the news stories on the BBC, and it sounds horrendous.
Let's hope there's some respite soon.

Are things OK with you, where you are?? I do hope all that work you've been doing in your house hasn't been affected by floods!!? :ohmy:
