Imagine how hard it’s going to be to detect over stayers when every passport resident or not is being stamped. Lmfao

If you say so

Personally, I'm not at all convinced that the vast majority of people would be likely to be in the least bit inconvenienced by the 90 days rule, regardless of how they voted in the referendum, since only the tiniest of minorities are in a position either financially or time-wise to be spending more than that away from their normal residence. A couple of weeks at a time, once or twice a year, and / or a few shorter breaks is about the limit even for those who enjoy a bit of foreign travel, and there'll be many more who don't travel for one reason or another.

Judging by the evidence on here, those who voted to leave seem perfectly happy with the prospect of stamps in passports and IDPs. Positively relishing it, from what I've read. And some, at least, of those who'd almost certainly have voted leave got in early on pointedly not using the EU passport lanes - a load of football fans who arrived in Portugal intent on making a nuisance of themselves, for example, before they descended on Porto city centre for a skinful, a sing-song and a ruck a couple of years back.

Sounds more like remainers false representation to me.

I don't see how it's remainers false representation when there have been filmed interviews on TV of Brits who were living in spain that voted out and say but they never thought it would affect them continuing to live in Spain. That confirms that there were people voting without a clue of the reality of what they voted for. Whether they took Hook line and sinker what certain politicians and groups were telling them or simply just failed to bother to check what would happen and apply to them. Everyone's vote is their own concern and decision but one would hope before voting its common sense to know what your are voting for.

They say they knew precisely what they were voting for so they should shut up. They also need to stop whinging about the 90/180 day rule.

It's actually relatively easy and of course the Spanish border force are already doing it for all other non EU nationals. UK nationals will just have to queue at passport control for much longer from now on while they check each passport. No doubt you will be sent to a different queue from EU nationals and hopefully EU residents will be permitted to join said queue.

I hope the Spanish authorities uphold the law and check all UK passports carefully.

Not as things stand at the moment, they won't, and I don't see any reason for revising that.

What might happen in countries with large influxes of UK tourists is that those countries might introduce dedicated UK passport lanes in busier airports (something Portugal instigated a year or so back). But they would handle residents and non-residents alike.

When a plane from the UK arrived in Spain before Brexit the non-EU queue had at most 10 non-EU nationals in it, after Brexit the same non-EU queue would have 10 non-EU nationals + UK nationals, i.e. it'd be practically a Brit only queue anyway. I don't think there's any particular need for Spain to open a third queue just for Britons.

Warning: Observations based on flights I've happened to be on, YMMV.

Most leave voters won’t give a monkeys about the 90 day rule. They probably wouldn’t even be bothered if Spain banned all uk tourists forever.
