Just returned home from my local blood donors session. Got me thinking, can you donate blood in Spain ?????????????

Yes. But I was told that you are not given the tea and biscuit afterwards but something stronger, not sure whether that is true though.

I tried to donate blood here a couple of years ago and was flatly turned away due to being British...they won´t take our blood due to the "risk" of CJD...

I could only read parts of the article as my Spanish is very basic but from what I read it refers to people resident in the UK during 1980 - 1986 - so surely anyone who has been a vegetarian all their life should be ok!

I was a regular blood donor in the UK, but no go here due to mad cow disease, shame.
