Re: Bin Laden
We can't go back too far in the blame game, it gets too complicated, but OBL started his bloody campaign around 30 years ago either in his native Saudi or when he became a volunteer in Afghanistan fighting against the Russians.
He then turned his hatred against the Christian West and especially the US, specialising in killing innocent civilians. It's a murderous policy, but it works; we regard the deaths of our soldiers as being less emotive than innocent men, women and children, not that I agree.
Nobody has accurate numbers, but it is generally agreed that OBL radicalised millions of Muslims all over the world, including thousands in the UK.
It's early days but it could well be that the Asians arrested outside Sellafield fall into the radicalised category.
I'm not an expert, but from the evidence in Japan, all you need to do is turn the cooling water off.

We are only reaping what we have sowed, over and over again.
Of course they are radicalised, but they have been that way for ages.

True it is a nuclear reprocessing plant and to think that I nearly took a job there as the salary was at that time very good and Cumbria is such a beautiful area. In the end my engineering qualifications were better served elsewhere thank goodness.

Re: Bin Laden
It now appears that OBL was unarmed, arrested and then shot by Americans who carried out the mission in a sovereign country without that country's permission. For what it's worth, it's also probable that he hadn't given any orders to al Quaeda for five years.
Leading international law experts say that the whole operation and the killing was illegal.

However I think its a cause for quiet satisfaction that he's gone, rather than the wild celebrations in the US streets which don't do anybody any good at all.
