For me it is Black Adder, Faullty Towers, Cheers and more recently How I met Your Mother.

Interesting, isn't it? They are talking about all types of series, including 24 etc, but all we are focussing on is the humerous ones. Mind you, I always value humour highly.

Yes minister (of course, was there anything quite so well written?) Young ones, Black adder (but not the last set) Faulty towers.

The David Attenborough series, natch. Did you watch the last one this week? There's a second part next week which merits watching.

Talking of which, did you know he gets death threats from god botherers who are anti evolution?

That's like wanting to kill puppies with hamers.

Fawlty Towers is an interesting one. I can't watch it, as it seems so obvious in places, and I want to shout out, yet it is very well structured..

I think my favourite comedies from the 70s were Porridge and Rising Damp

Faulty towers was good and in the end it was good they only did 12 episodes 'cause it would have been boring. But man there were some good ones.
Now have you ever seen How I met your Mother?

It doesn't ring a bell to be honest. Is it American, or British?

I'm just thinking again of Ronnie Barker playing Norman Stanley Fletcher. What a great bit of character acting!

Porridge, one of my all time favourites.
Steptoe and Son,some of the early black and white ones were best.
Minder,...Onest Arfa was always good for a laugh.
Dad's Army and It aint half hot Mum,..Great bunch of characters in both.
Trailer Park Boys,..About the only one I watch from over the pond.

Oh not forgetting Mr Bean, much loved by people of all ages Worldwide. The Dentist was one of the best.

Dunno about Mr Bean. I never really found that funny. A bit too close to laughing at cripples for my taste.

Porridge and Steptoe, yeah. Damn good stuff.

Just watched series one, two and three of Auf Weidersehen Pet. First two ageing a bit but stunning and very funny. Series three (the Middlesborough Transporter Bridge re-erected in Arizona) was just amazing. Now watching series 4 (Cuba) and so far a bit disappointing.

Not keen on that series. I still think of him as George Carter.
