Hi, welcome to BE.

I'll move your thread to the Spain forum, where the good folks there will be happy to help.

Is there no way you can move a bit earlier, before the 31st December cut off date re: Brexit?

Best of luck with the move.

That is such an open question do you not have any idea of which part of this vast country you want to live ? Have you visited any particular region ?
Airports are plentiful - Costa del Sol has an excellent one at Malaga with flights to Manchester, so does Alicante and of course Barcelona.

I think you need to give a few more clues if you want more specific help .

Agreed, it makes no more sense than asking which the "best" part of Britain to live, when every part of the country has different geography, weather, and attractions, and the different areas are dramatically different.

Indeed and not to mention price. Beverly Hills would probably be considered a better part of L.A. but worthless information if you can't afford it. Spain is no different and Lionel Messi might consider his home in Castelldefels to be the best place to live in Barcelona.

Do you want city, village remote rural, beachside mountains touristy non touristy North of Spain central Spain or southern Spain. No one can have a clue about anything asked unless you have a clue to the above. Spain has bits of everything but only you have a clue as to type of environment would suit you.

As others have said, you pose such an open-ended question that is impossible to answer. We live in the Basque country of northern Spain, usually a no-no for beach-loving sun seekers, though we also have that to cater for.
Bilbao airport has Easy Jet & Vueling with daily flights to Heathrow, Stansted & Bristol airports to name a few.
The Basque country is also one of the more prosperous provinces in Spain, close to France and with a wide variety of leisure pursuits such as sport, food, wine, mountains and beaches with real waves.
But not everybody's cup of tea. Fewer ex-pats, less English influence such as "all day breakfasts served", or sangria (though I think one can buy it) or English shops. So I cannot buy Branston Pickle!!
In other words, horses for courses. You have to do some more homework.

That's quite alright. It is a vast country. When you have narrowed down the areas and some of your requirements and no nos, I will be happy to help you

Still too broad a brief, within let's say 20-30km there are opportunities to follow most lifestyles ranging from beach loving party animal to mountain dwelling misanthrope and everything in between.

Write down a list of your needs in Spain e.g:-
1. Do you want Expat enclave or not?
2. Do you want to rent your Spanish property when you are not using it?
3. Are you retiring or do you need to work in Spain?
4. How much Spanish do you speak?
5. Are you renting a property or buying one?
6. Can you take the heat and humidity in summer?
7. Is adapting to the Spanish way of life easy for you?

Sorry for the questions, they're easy, it's the answers that can cause difficulty?

I suggest you rent an apartment/house/villa/duplex/cortijo for no less than 5 weeks October-March. Choose a destination yourself. Live in Spain for the 5 weeks and believe me, you will find if that area is suitable for your needs and most importantly if Spain is for you.

For the record we live in Mojacar Playa (Costa Almeria) for half the year.

I would recommend Valencia as a large city with a beach but I believe that Alicante is better connected to the UK with more flights during the day and throughout the year
