Best place to buy bikes Ayamonte
 

Hi there. I have an apartment in Isla Canela and many years ago we used to own bikes but basically they kept getting stolen, damaged so we gave up for a while. But now I’m looking to buy another and kept it in the apartment when we aren’t here, perhaps a folding one. Where are the best places to buy a bike - either in Spain or over the border? We popped into one shop in town this week to see one folding bike - price 550 euros which is a tad pricey. Thanks so much for any advice. PS delighted to be here but never seen it so busy and almost impossible to book any of our favourite restaurants…

There's a shop in Almancil in Portugal opposite Tesco which is specialised. There's one behind the Police Station in Ayamonte you could try, or Decathlon in Huelva have folding bikes. Check out their website.

Bought a really good fold up bike in Decathlon in Lepe for under €200.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. We did pop into the bike shop behind the police station but they didn't do fold up bikes and the EUR500 plus folding bike was in the Bike store by the market - sadly a bit pricey. I'm liking the idea of Decathlon in Lepe.

I just wanted to say thanks again for the suggestions. Two folding bikes purchased in Decathlon, Faro. The survived round trip from our apartments up to the top of the beach, along the never ending marina road, around Punta del moral and then back via the marina. Got to say I felt pretty sore at the end of all that!
