Default Best car hire, pickup Malaga, drop off Alicante? Advice help please ASAP.....!!!

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP US - URGENT...?
We fly into Malaga Thursday am, want to hire a small reasonable car and three weeks later drop it off at Alicante airport.
My problem is I've been searching though SO MANY reviews of many different companies (not all cheapes prices) but am very shocked and worried about the stories....
I know Full to full should mean no more fuel costs but seems very often people get charged extra for it regardless, loads of hard sell stories for CDW insurance, (we have our own) but it doesn't stop them, dents/scratches claims etc etc etc, the list of these on trip advisor is endless.
PLEASE, can anyone recomend a good car hire company that will allow up to pick up at Malaga and drop off at Alicante?
We are house hunting and really want to start off with a posative experience!

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give.....

I just had a car organised by my insurance company as a breakdown replacement it was from europcar and pick up Malaga, drop Alicante was no problem (I live near Malaga but my car was in Alicante being repaired).
Might not be the cheapest however.
I think it will need to be a company represented at both locations to be able to do this.

In my experience, the easiest to deal with, least fuss over CDW and reasonable rates have been Centauro.
Others may think differently

You'll probably have to go with one of the big boys and you won't get a cheap local deal. IMHE Europcar/Avis/Guerin are OK

Thank you all for taking the time to reply with advise.
We decided after reading all the reviews and advise to go with Keddy - they're part of Europcars I believe...! Wish us luck on our new adventure...!

IMHO Goldstar are the pits. They have been subject of enquiries and TV programmes for their dodgy/immoral practices. I was caught by them at Malaga with their fuel policy paying 30% over the odds for a full tank and unable to return empty so losing on the return. They have ripped people of on insurance and refused to provide a car unless you take their insurance even if you have your own. They may have mended their ways but I not going to give them the benefit.
