Default Benefits - Dla and IB

Hiya,
I have looked on theuk gov web site but i am a little unclear on the rules.
I am recieving IB (not esa) and have been for around 8 years now (unfortunately) I also recieve DLA Care componant and have been for 3 years now and this is granted for the next 4 years. So am i right in understanding that i can claim that over in spain. My husband will be working in spain so i would presume paying spanish tax. But i from my understanding those 2 benefits would not be affected if he worked in either spain or uk as there not means tested they are for my disability.
I will have family working over here (my mother and sister) who will obv be contributing to NI from there jobs. Anyone had any experience of this recently, Any help would be greatful,
Thanks

added - i have also noticed something about E121's so this would cover me for healthcare and my family if say my husband didnt get a job straight away?

Incapacity Benefit and DLA Care Component can continue to be claimed if you live in Spain, with the same requirements (i.e. medicals etc), as in the UK. If a medical is deemed necessary, it will be with a DWP appointed Dr in Spain.

And yes, the E121 (now called S1) will cover you and your family for Spanish healthcare.

There are now DWP teams based in Spain to help Expats - details are on their web site. I know the team in Alicante are very helpful and the roadshows are worth attending if you can get to them.

Yes you can claim both IB and DLA. And if you have children you can still claim child benefit in Spain.

there is no Spanish Child benefit as in the UK - there are tax breaks, but not a payment as such

so I guess he means UK child benefit?

I moved to Spain in September last year and informed ESA and DLA, ESA was re-instated within 2 weeks but I am still waiting for DLA and CA, anyone experienced this?

... and if you have moved to Spain, it is illegal (fraud) to continue claiming (UK) child allowance.

Friends of ours did - when they were found out, they were fined thousands!

We get child benefit of 100 euros per month in Spain, from the Spanish government

Yes I think technically it is a tax break i.e. you need to pay tax to receive it, but it is paid as a monthly payment

If we can claim from the UK as well that would be great!

I started receiving DLA whilst living in G.B.I informed the relevent office as soon as I moved to Spain in 2007.amd my payment was stopped immediately.I contacted them and mentioned that as far as i was aware under European rules,a payment already being made before moving to another Country in the E.U.would continue to be paid,I was bluntly told I didnt know what I was talking about and that staff at the office are paid to know the rules. In 2011 The British Government lost the battle to make up there own rules and the payment was re instated to all those who had is cancelled once they moved.Although I had lost 4 years payment,I could only claim back from Oct. 2007,so The British Government still thieved six months payments off me,But It was worth the loss,as I phoned the DLA to tell them to make sure thhe staff learn the rules before getting stroppty

I have lived here for 5 years and if you are in receipt of certain benefits your entitlement to child benefit can be paid in Spain. When I informed them of my move to Spain my payments stopped. It did take them 6 months to confirm with DWP that I was in receipt of a benefit then my payments restarted with the back payments paid.
