Default Benefits

Hi,
I now find myself in a similar position to many folk here in spain and am now officially without work.
Im trying to work out if i am entitled to any benefits here in Spain, be it unemployment, family, etc etc
ive been here for over twenty years, but have spent the past nine years here as "autonomo", prior to that i was working for Spanish companies on contract, so have quite a healthy Vida laboral.
Does anyone know if i would be entitled to any form of benefits?

ill be visiting the various offices to try and find out but just wondered if anyone could give me some cheery news while i wait....
Thanks

Unfortunately you dont get any paro payments as an autonomo

However, you may have built up enough on your vida laboral to be eligible for paro payments. Just go to your nearest INEM office

Failing that, if nobody in your household has official income then you can get the emergency 450 euros per month payment

And remember to "dar de baja" (sign off) from being an autonomo or they will keep taking out the social security payments
