Best to rent before you buy.
Check out the area well before you buy anything, you need to view it in the summer, winter, daytime, night time as things can change so much.
Also check the paperwork for the property, although the Pueblo is a quite safe area, I haven`t heard of any illegal properties in the area, no doubt someone will Google it and post different.
