We have bought on an urbanisation just outside the town of Castalla which is about 30 mins from Alicante. The nearest large town is Alcoy.

Hmmmm I think you've covered most of them. Do you wear glasses? Opticians? You probably don't need to tell them, do you?

Do you need to stock up on any repeat Prescriptions? Just enough until you get settled in Spain?

How about a bundle of Birthday cards, to send to your rellies and friends in the UK?

wouldn't worry too much about medication..........most 'prescription only' stuff can be bought over the counter here (just take an empty packet) and often for less that a UK prescription

Loads of card shops (English) in Calpe, so no pasa nada ;)

Lionda, you mentioned that your husband does some painting. Tell him to buy as many paints (oils, acrylic, water, whatever) from the UK as good quality paints are hard to source here (we order from UK, Germany and USA and the shipping costs are incredibly high). All other art materials are available here and at better prices than the UK (ie canvases, easles, brushes, water colour paper, etc.).

Also great guitar shops (in Calpe and Gata de Gorgos) at very reasonable prices for anything he may require ;)

We have seen big blocks of clay in some of the artshops, but Michael hasn't played with it yet.

Next time we're in Altea (our main art supplier shop), we'll have a look for you ;)

Hi Lionda, I have just realised you are moving to the same urbanisation as my friends, they moved there last October and they are very happy there. They said the people they have meet have just been so friendly and they have lovely neighbors. I haven't seen them since they have been in Spain as we are too far away but friends said they see them last week and they look the picture of health. Lionda if I make it up to my friends later in the year OK if I bring a bottle or over to you for a chin wag;)

The urb is called Castalla Internacional - is it the same one? It would be great if it is and you made it over to meet up with your friends. We could all meet up - look forward to it
