Beaches - Do you always go to the same one? If so, why?

It's firmly into kiddy season for some of us, and we're scratching our heads because the beaches we loved through Autumn-Spring are now full of scum & foul unmentionables, and the ones which were great to watch with the wind whipping up can be shelving so not so safe for children.
Do you always take the same well-trodden path? For sandcastle sand? Sun loungers? The cleanest water you can find? Snorkelling? Ease of parking? Few Brits or the more the merrier?
Obviously every Costa will have its differences!
We usually choose from Torrox, El Palo, Guadalmar, Torremolinos & Benalmadena - but at the moment none offers exactly sparkly clean water:eek: - Anyone any recommendations?

To be honest, the only ones we've used over the last few years when we've come over on holiday is the Levante beach ( Benidorm ). We've never used the Poniente one, mainly because, although we spend a few days looking around the "old town", we havent really gone any further and spent time on that beach. We have also used the Magaluf beach. I did notice that the Palma Nova beach looked beautiful when we went for a day out over there, but we didnt actually spend any time on it.

I always use the beach at Les Deveses cos the girl who works in the beach bar has a great pair of norks!!! Oh and the sand is really clean and the sea is shallow with very few jelly fish.

On the Costa de la Luz, we are pretty spoilt. By and large all the beaches are pretty good, with even the most frequented having quite unpopulated areas.

From Gib to Cadiz, all that we have seen are clean and attractive, with just a few rocky patches to break them up.

The closer you get to Gib, the more windy it gets - Tarifa is pretty damn windy. Never looked at the bits between Gib & Tarifa much tho.
