Oh no. It's just a baby too.

We are both volunteer marine medics with Project Jonah here in New Zealand and have attended whale strandings.

Hopefully there is a pontoon available to help with a refloat at high tide & small boats to help encourage it out to deep water.

Any sign of the pod?

If you contact these guys, they will likely know who could be in your area.
