Barcelona
Usually on the Far East or Portugal forums but want to do a 3 or 4 night visit to Barcelona.
Any recommendations for places to stay which are value for money.
We don't like to spend too much on accommodation.
Rather spend it elsewhere.
As long as the accommodation is clean, then it suits us

It depends on your situation. For example what might suit a young, single person may not suit an older couple etc....
Anyhoo...
Going down Ramblas on the left side in the Barrio Gotic there are a number of pensions which are well priced. They are clean but not exactly modern. However, I'd recommend that if you are going for a few days try specialist sites like atrapalo or lastminute etc (or google cheap accommodation Barcelona) and you should be able to find a good deal in a fairly decent hotel.

And I did search the Spain archives before I posted, all the way back to early 2007.
And I haven't been to Barcelona for over 40 years.

No you didn't get my goat, and no I haven't done anything to put the mockers on things. People on this form are a very helpful lot and will go out of their way to give you info if they can, as I would do if indeed If I had the answer to what you wanted
Just thought it was a bit ironic
