Reading the article on google translate (not good) it talks about planning being given " next March " I hope it means this March ( next month ). Again like the Marina supposed to be the biggest in S Europe let's pray it happens however big or small.
I think a marina would do that (but the OH doesn't want more concrete) but not sure that a water park would have such a big impact. IMO. I wouldn't vote against it though. Am I missing something? Is a water park all positive or are there negatives for CE? Jon PS sent text to you John |

Would think its a positive really?,at least is spending monies at last, and will bring people from both Portugal and southern Spain, could help with rental markets, and more appt sales?. See you soon, Ken. It may sell a few apartments to landlord types who would see it as an additional attraction. So I think the balance would be positive but marginal |

I would think that the effect on Esuri will be marginal but positive. If it is positioned before the viaduct into Esuri the no of day visitors will be marginal since there will be restaurants and other attractions within the water park to detain them there. It may be that a few golfers on holiday in Portugal will drop family off before enjoying a round on Esuri.

So I think the balance would be positive but marginal But if the footfall was there maybe other resto's bars would consider opening up on Esuri to capture the new potential market, you drive past Esuri now and would'nt know whats available, there are no signs to indicate a bar or golf clubhouse?. At the moment there would'nt be much reason for them to come into Esuri to eat or drink, we only have the golf club resto & Bar,plus the local,so doubt they would pull the crowds in?.

When you cross the bridge from Portugal into Spain, there is a sign saying "Golfe" pointing off to right, ie Isla Canela. There is nothing about golf to the left ie Costa Esuri, so no hint to passing traffic that there is even a golf course there.

It will also create much needed jobs for local people, regards Bryony
There would be a few management positions but I assume they would be allocated to colleagues of the proprietor and the Mayor. |

It is surprising but there is a strong ecological lobby in Spain particularly in Andalucia. Those who have been around this club from the beginning may remember that there was very strong lobby against the total development that continued long after Fadesa had started earth moving for the courses and early building. Indeed I think it was as late as 2007/8 before Andalucia issued the final certificate that made the development totally legal. I have a copy of that certificates stored away securely just in case. |
