Came across this photo from Puerta de la Laja, about 45 min drive from Ayamonte.

Hi Jur
Is this near Pomarao?
Is it possible to cross the river here, seem to remember seeing something about a new bridge.

The new bridge at Pomaro is no open and photos have been posted on the last Ayamonte thread by BobD if you search on his name.

Thanks for the 'plug' John.

The new bridge was opened in February 2009, I think we must have been one of the first to cross it, as can been seen by the finishing touches being made in these two photos. There are more photos of it on my website.

It is a pleasant, but long, drive to do the round trip from CE, if you want to start in Spain, and finish in Portugal, or vice versa. If you just want to see it and return , the drive from Spain there and back is much shorter than the drive from Portugal.

Hi All

Some of you may have the following links but for those who don't they give a series of pictures of the two Esuri golf courses almost hole by hole. Handy for reliving those good and not so good shots!!

Thanks, Jur.
More pics, if anyone interested, of the changeable weather of last week:
Baking sunshine at Santa Luzia (near Tavira, in Portugal)
Cooling mist (looks a bit sci-fi, doesn't it?) at Altura, again in Portugal
Lastly, back to Canela, a balmy early evening scene.

2nd one is good, we get that near us sometimes too, I have a pic in my gallery taken from above our local beach when it was there.
